Language Complete was founded by Melanie Hendrick with the mission of providing all clients, of all ages, with quality services at a convenient location, and at a fair and equitable price.
Melanie Hendrick, Instructor
Melanie Hendrick has taught High School Spanish in a private school setting for thirteen years, including at Notre Dame Prep and at Oakland Christian School. Her background also includes teaching Bilingual Education and ESL to Spanish Kindergarten and Elementary students in public schools. Her educational background includes a B.A Degree in Political Science with Minors in Spanish and in Sociology from Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts.
She holds a Secondary Foreign Language Teaching Certificate in Spanish and a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching from Wayne State University. Mrs. Hendrick started the Modern Language Club at Oakland Christian School and was Advisor for eight years. She started the first tutoring center at OCS without any funding. Subjects tutored were Math, Science and Language Arts.
She was the Costa Rica Missions Coordinator and Spanish translator for High School students where they raised $1,000.00 for a nutrition center, did light construction work and taught VBS in Spanish to Costa Rican children.
She has traveled extensively with students, adults and teachers to Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Italy, France, England and Wales.
Mrs. Hendrick is a member of the Cambridge Who’s Who; is an Ambasssador to the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce; a member of The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Auburn Hills Optimist Club; and a member of the AEYC.
